He is helping Trinity expand its geographic reach, enroll a diverse and academically talented student body, and improve reten- tion and student achievement. Angel was previously VP and dean of admissions and financial aid at Pitzer College in Claremont, Calif. Meg Breuer is living in the Netherlands with husband Remco and their 3-year-old daughter, Annabel. Meg is a writer for a medical communications company based in Amsterdam and recently started her own freelance company, English Expert: Writing and Translation. In September I moved from Atlanta, Ga., back to Cleveland, Ohio, and then went to volunteer for a month in Costa Rica. That was an incredible experience: I spent two weeks working with children in a day-care facility and another two weeks doing turtle conservation. Amanda Maddock-Weinstein served as puppeteer for one of the


giant animal mascots at the opening and closing ceremonies of the winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, last year. She then traveled to Beijing, China, where she puppeteered other large creatures in a live production of Dreamworks’ How to Train Your Dragon. A theater major, she resides in southern Vermont and works in NYC. In upstate New York, Virginia Martin is Columbia County’s Democratic election commissioner, a job that keeps her very busy. She also recently joined the boards of the Friends of Taconic State Park and Classics on Hudson, which promotes clas- sical music in the Hudson Valley. Tracy West Miller and her family enjoy living in Saratoga Springs. They had a wonderful time last summer at their camp at Silver Bay on Lake George, swimming, kayaking, sailing, and fishing. Daughter Madelyn got off to a great start in second grade, and son Lucas was excited to be in kindergarten. After four years as a stay-at-home-mom,


Lindsay Miller McCormack started a new job as archivist for Lincoln College in Oxford, England. She takes pride in being the custodian of records stretching back to the college’s founding in 1427. Lindsay enjoyed hearing about Skidmore’s planned Center for Integrated Sciences at a London reception with President Phil Glotzbach and Marie Glotzbach in November. Arwa Damon was one of three journalists honored with a 2014 Courage in Journalism Award from the Women’s Media Foundation. Arwa has covered Iraq other Middle East news for CNN for sever- al years, including the US offensive against insurgents in Fallujah, the Iraqi


election of 2005, and the trial and execu- tion of Saddam Hussein. She also reported on the Arab Spring uprisings and was one of the first journalists to arrive on the scene in the aftermath of the 2012 attack on the US Embassy in Benghazi, Libya. Ceramic artist Jono Pandolfi has his own design company producing hand- crafted dinnerware for professional chefs. A finalist in last year’s Martha Stewart American Made competition, Jono has been featured in the New York Times, Food and Wine, and Bon Appetit. He has created custom stoneware collections for culinary standouts, including chef Daniel Humm for the opening of NYC’s Nomad Hotel. After six years of teaching preschool in Chicago, Sarah O’Farrell is now pursuing an MFA in printmaking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Jonathan Micancin and wife Christine bought a house in the woods in Chapel Hill, N.C., last year. Their 2-year-old daughter, Eve, enjoys running with the big kids. Jonathan has kayaked several Class V rivers in the southern Appalachians as well as the mighty Sacandaga near Saratoga Springs. Ryan Makuck and wife Marcella Marchand Makuck ’01 live in Ellington, Conn., with daughters Avery, 4, and Claire, 2. Ryan is an emergency medicine, surgical, and hospitalist physician assis- tant at Johnson Memorial Hospital. Recently elected chair of its department of allied health, he is the first physician assistant ever appointed to serve on the hospital’s medical executive committee.
