TABLE MOUNTAIN & CAPE POINT VIEWS En route to the Cape Peninsula, stop for a cable car ride up Table Mountain for 360-degree views of the city and bay; if you wish, join our local guide for a nature walk at the top. Continue driving along the peninsula to Cape Point, where a funicular ride takes you up to the historic lighthouse for sensational views of the Cape of Good Hope. After lunch, meet the African penguins of Boulders Beach; about two feet tall and endearingly curious, they are one of only two land colonies on the continent. On the return to Cape Town, get an introduction to the city as you drive past the Castle of Good Hope, City Hall, Parliament, the cathedral where Desmond Tutu was named archbishop, and former slave quarters. 4. FLY TO KRUGER NATIONAL PARK Depart Cape Town and board a flight for Skukuza airstrip and the incomparable Kruger National Park, where your safari experience begins at Lion Sands – Kruger National Park. Set in the South African lowveldt, it is one of the best game-viewing areas of the park; your classic safari accommodations are in a private riverside setting inside the park – the waters are a magnet for park wildlife. The area is home to many endangered and rare animals, as you’ll discover soon beginning with a late afternoon game drive before dinner. Meals BD
5. LION SANDS – KRUGER NATIONAL PARK Your safari lodge is located within the 12,000+-acre Kruger National Park, where wildlife viewing is rich. The park boasts one of the highest recorded densities of predators – especially of leopards – in Africa. Guests have spotted elephant, cheetahs, rhinos, wild dogs and, of course, leopards in Kruger during their stay. You’ll have ample opportunity to spot the animals who live here on morning and afternoon game drives. This evening, feast on fabulous African cuisine. Meals BLD

6. EXCLUSIVE GAME DRIVES IN SABI SABI A final game drive and an optional guided walk through the bush mark the end of your stay in Kruger National Park. Next, move on to Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge, situated within the Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve. Bordering expansive Kruger National Park, it is composed of several smaller private game reserves along the Sabie River. Designed with viewing decks that overlook a watering hole and plain, the lodge is located in habitats that are home to Africa’s “Big Five” – elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard – as well as wild dogs, cheetahs and over 300 species of birds.
