We’ve spent years working closely with BBC Earth natural history experts developing Earth Journeys, allowing you to experience their stories first-hand, in three new and innovative ways. You’ll enjoy film vignettes that are custom-made for Tauck by BBC Earth; field equipment “gadgets”; and educational touches provided by our Tauck Directors and local experts.


Due to their filming schedules, BBC Earth natural history filmmakers are not able to travel on Earth Journeys departures. Exclusively for Tauck, they have crafted special film vignettes in the same traditional style of BBC Earth’s award-winning documentaries; they inform and inspire with personal perspectives, stories, reflections and insights that are filled with humor and heart.


Field equipment “gadgets” vary tour by tour and are operated by your Tauck Director as the opportunity arises. They include FLIR® thermal imaging cameras that capture the nocturnal world without intrusive headlights or white light that distracts... shotgun microphones that enable you to hear sounds over a mile away... cameras that capture life underwater... camera traps that provide images not seen by day... and more. Every Earth Journey is unique, and so is the use of equipment.
