1. ARRIVE ARUSHA, TANZANIA Tour departs: Kilimanjaro International Airport. A transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arumeru River Lodge is included. Your African lodge, set in dreamlike tropical gardens, is located on the grounds of an old coffee farm. It’s the perfect spot to rest up for tomorrow’s expeditions at Mount Kilimanjaro or Arusha National Park with your fellow explorers!


2. KILIMANJARO OR ARUSHA NATIONAL PARKS A choice of adventures awaits your family today. You can choose to hike with us in Kilimanjaro National Park – home to Mount Kilimanjaro, one of the world’s highest mountains. While you won’t be going all the way to the top, you’ll take an exciting walk up (and down) Kilimanjaro’s Marangu Trail, keeping an eye out for inquisitive monkeys, doe-eyed antelopes and abundant birds. After hiking back down, meet a member of the Chagga

tribe who shares insights about her life here in Africa. She’ll even show you her home, where many generations of her family live together. Or, your family can join an experienced local guide and head out to Arusha National Park for a full day of game viewing and a picnic lunch in the park.
