GOODBYE 2016… Ramiro Atucha, COO LEANDER

What have been the biggest occurrenced for Leander in 2016? It´s been a very successful year for Leander,

releasing a large amount of games (over 100) from top game developers in the industry (BluePrint, Red Tiger, Quickspin, Stakelogic, 2By2 among others) into some of the biggest operators (Pokerstars, Betsson, Vera&John, Betfair / Paddy, among others). But certainly the November release of our own slot “Apollo” (exclusive to Betsson until January) and its high performance mark our return to the game arena and is our highlight of 2016.

What do you think was the most important occurrence for the industry in 2016? Consolidation; there were so many changes in the corporate landscape with all the mergers and acquisitions, that any plan, strategy or projection was made invalid shortly after being produced. Many key partners ended up being acquired or merged.

What are you most excited about for the industry in 2017?

Quite a few things! Understanding how this

new landscape settles at a corporate level, seeing HTML5 on development complete its dominance over flash and adapting to this and as usual all the expected news about new markets opening to online gambling, and also

new emerging technologies such as virtual reality.

What are you most excited about for your own company in 2017? Leander started in 2009 and almost eight

years later we could say that we have consolidated in the regulated markets, becoming almost a mature company. In 2017 we are planning to explore new

markets such as LatAm, the US and mainly Asia. I´ll be personally leading such effort, and that represents a huge thrill for me at a personal and professional level.

Anything else you’d like to say about the passing of 2016 and 2017’s arrival? Our strategy is to supply a few operators with a lot of content including exclude bespoke - efficiently and quickly. During 2016 we worked hard to improve our game content incorporation and delivery process as to become a key supplier to our existing partners. There is still a lot to do in that area, but we believe that during 2017 we´ll be in conditions of acquiring a few additional operators and key partners.

Marketing Director

PLAYTECH Luke Davis,

What have been the biggest occurrences for you in 2016? The continued success of Playtech – The

business continues to go from strength-to- strength with strong progress in our primary gaming division with new licensees and renewals securing future growth and our financials division positioned for sustainable growth. This, coupled with the continued implementation of our M&A strategy with the acquisitions of BGT, Quickspin and ECM this year means we remain confident of strong growth in the short and long term.

What do you think was the most important occurrence for the industry in 2016? Within the bigger picture it has been the

continued and increased consolidation of some of Europe’s, and specifically the UK’s, largest operators including Gala Coral and Ladbrokes and Betfair and Paddy Power. As regulated markets continue to mature and others open up we expect this to continue.

What are you most excited about for the 94 JANUARY 2017

industry in 2017? Further enhancements in automation, mobile, real-time analytics, game design and delivery and the opening up of more regulated markets with the likes of Holland presenting more opportunities.

What are you most excited about for your own company in 2017? Alongside the exciting challenge and

potential presented by integrating the businesses and technology we have acquired

this year, we will have some very positive news to share with the industry as the year progresses including further licensee agreements, brand partnerships and a series of ground-breaking, cross-vertical smart casino technology that builds on the already established business intelligence-enabled software we launched and deployed last year.

We are equally excited about our dynamic

technology development in casino and live casino with proprietary BI-enabled software allowing us to add more smart casino features that licensees can use to further optimise their offerings. In addition, we have developed a series of incredible slot game math design functionality, while in live casino we are preparing to roll out our next generation software and offering that will guarantee our licensees growth for many years to come.
