GOODBYE 2016…

Executive Chairman Edward Ihre, CODETA

What were the biggest occurrences for Codeta in 2016? Since we only launched this year I would summarize the biggest milestones/events of the year to be the following ones: • Completion of our seed round Feb 1 (¤2m) which was initiated and completed within 4 weeks (despite 40 different investors) • Codeta.com launch June 7 (in Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish and English) • Codetaff.com (our affiliate program) launch event in Stockholm for 25 affiliates from around the World, June 10-12 • June 27 – our first day with more than 50 FTDs in one day • July 29 – our first day with more than 50,000 Euro GGR in one day • Aug 12 – our first day with more than 100,000 Euro in deposits in one day • Aug 26 – our first day with a greater turnover (bets) of more than 1m Euro in one day

• Sept 10 – our first day with more than 100 FTDs in one day • Oct 18 – our first day with a greater turnover (bets) of more than 2m Euro in one day

104 JANUARY 2017

• Nov 16 – the launch of our German site (codeta.com/de)

What do you think was the most important occurrence for the industry in 2016? With the exception of our launch? J I would say that there were a couple of mergers that will change the landscape (PaddyPower/Betfair). I would also say that something that will change the landscape is the Nordic-facing operators and affiliates, making significant footprint in the UK market with the likes of Casumo, LeoVegas but also noticing that a lot of Nordic affiliates have making great progress into the UK market as well. That will shift the power I believe in the industry as a whole as the more traditional, historic brands will be challenged and no longer see the UK as their own territory.

What are you most excited about for the industry in 2017? The continued success of live dealer. I truly

believe 2017 will be the year when live dealer will take the next step in terms of becoming

its own product and reach beyond the high value table games players and reach “the public” to a much larger extent. I wouldn’t go as far as comparing it to the poker boom in 2003-5, but not too far behind!

What are you most excited about for Codeta in 2017? Apart from entering and

establishing ourselves in various markets, including UK and DACH, but also launching more game providers, new languages, but first and foremost improving the product using the consumer insights we have and truly establish ourselves as THE table games casino.

Anything else you’d like to say about the passing of 2016 and 2017’s arrival? I think that 2016 was the year of when mobile wasn’t something that simply grew immensely, instead mobile is the new standard rather than being an item we reported separately to illustrate growth within mobile. Mobile is here. Mobile is the new reality. Period. With that said I think we will see a lot more innovative games, solutions and features being launched in 2017
