What was the biggest launch for Nolimit City in 2016? The launch of our latest game, Space Arcade. It is the first slot we


have rolled-out according to our desired blueprint and as a result holds a level of quality that we are really proud of. We really have pulled out all the stops and used every resource available to us. The game has then been tirelessly tested and tweaked so that the graphics, math and gameplay are firing on all cylinders. For us, this is a major step towards building a game portfolio packed with best-in-class games that will elevate us high above the also rans.


What do you think was the most important occurrence for the industry in 2016?


The rise of smaller suppliers looking to disrupt the status quo with


genuinely innovative and interesting games and features. We hear more and more about start-ups chipping away at power players like Playtech and NetEnt, and this is great for competition and the wider industry. These larger firms are often cumbersome and weighed down


by protocols and red tape, while smaller firms are nimble and flexible and can quickly adapt to market trends. They are very much a victim of their own success, and are being hit hard by games from smaller suppliers taking their place at the top of operator game lobbies.


What are you most excited about for the industry in 2017? Smaller suppliers continuing to take the fight to the big boys. We


believe that by focusing on mobile, and developing games specifically for the platform from the outset, will help us get a jump on the competition. Some of the larger firms are busy retro-fitting desktop games for mobile and tablet devices, or converting games from Flash to HTML5. We don’t need to do that, and can focus on delivering fresh and engaging content enhanced by mobile rather than limited by it.


We are not alone in taking this approach, our start- up rivals are also making strides in this regard, so we look forward to going head-to-head with them as well as the behemoths over the next 12 months.


What are you most excited about for your own company in 2017? The new year marks our entrance into the market proper. While we


are already live with a couple of operators, come the new year we are going to turn up the heat and really get cooking! We have several new games on the production line ready to roll out, which will give us a solid portfolio to offer to additional partners. We will also complete all integrations with the tier one operators we have already signed up, while we are also set to move into new, larger offices to give us the space we need to produce the number of games we want each year.


Anything else you’d like to say about the passing of 2016 and 2017’s arrival?


The mega-deals that grabbed the headlines in 2016 will spill over into


2017; more deals will be signed while all eyes will be on Paddy Power Betfair, GVC/bwin.party and Ladbrokes Coral to see how they manage life as market heavyweights. I believe that operators will become more demanding, requiring flexibility and personalisation from their suppliers above and beyond what is currently being offered. They will want their providers to treat them as individuals, and offer a more tailored range of products and services. It is something we are focusing on now so that we have a head start on our rivals in the new year.
