GOODBYE 2016…

WORLD MATCH Andrea Boratto, Executive Director

What was the biggest occurrence for World Match in 2016? In 2016 World Match has successfully

responded the market’s demand for omni- channel gaming and is now able to provide a seamless game experience across any product: the players who change device are able to resume the game exactly from where they left it and, above all, they are free to do so without any difficulty. Both Web and Mobile versions of WM games share the same game engine and ensure the continuity of the game experience, allowing the players to increase the win amount and compete for the Jackpot, while playing on any device. WM games offer an experience that is

equally engaging on all the digital channels, desktop and mobile and, in the not-too- distant future, on land-based slots as well. In 2015 we were the first to release a sizeable bouquet of Mobile games in iOS and Android native technologies and in 2016, as we reckon Flash is going to disappear from the scene in one or two years, we undertook the transition to HTML5. Our slots in iOS and Android native

technologies are top-of-the-range products and they cannot be missing in the offer of any regulated operator, but they also have a basic weakness, since the access to each Apple Store is allowed only to the operators

who hold a licence of that specific country. HTML5, on the other hand, is an ideal platform for the development of mobile games and it allows .com operators who are operating in a number of markets to cope with this restriction. From a commercial point of view, then, we allow our customers to make always the right choice according to their target and the markets they address.

What do you think was the most important occurrence for the industry in 2016? There have been more than one! For sure technological innovation -

especially in terms of mobile gaming and omni-channel gaming- has played a great in role in 2016, but there were also many regulation changes and mega mergers both on the operators’ and providers’ side. The downside of providers’ mergers is that there might be quite the same content available for all the operators. On the contrary, at World Match we believe

in diversification of the game offer and that’s why we offer a great choice of configurations in terms of volatility, different features, winning frequency, etc., which is one of the strong points of our games. On the top of that, our game portfolio is the most substantial since it features 200+ games: 150 Slot Machines, 30 Table Games and all variants of Video Poker, for desktop and mobile devices, in HTML5 and in native iOS and Android technologies.

What are you most excited about for the industry in 2017? The continuing emergence of Latin America

and Asia. Latin America starts to become more and more interesting, as we see these countries moving toward regulation for

casino. Brazil and Colombia are especially interesting markets. Brazil has the potential on the surface to become a huge online gaming market: with 192 million people, it is the most highly populated country in Latin America, and may have one of the strongest foundations for online gaming: solid base of regular Internet users and a cultural history of gambling. Furthermore, there’s 130% mobile

penetration in Colombia and that’s a country with 49 million people. The opportunity is not insignificant. In Asian countries the new generation of the middle classes, with their love of mobile devices, console gaming, and acceptance of RNG products, across the continent opens huge possibilities for all.

What are you most excited about for your own company in 2017? To date some of the most important

operators of the online gaming industry across Europe have chosen WM games, which have been implemented in hundreds of gambling sites. World Match holds a very strong position

especially in the Mediterranean region, where we already number commercial agreements with all top-level operators (e.g. Lottomatica, Eurobet, Stanleybet, EveryMatrix, R. Franco, BetConstruct, Intralot, Merkur-Win etc.). Our next goal is to conquer Northern Europe and then we’ll head for Latin America.
