were modelled in the SoundPLAN noise modelling software, which implements accepted national and international acoustic calculation standards, including specifically CRTN and International Standard ISO9613. The incorporated calculation algorithm described in ISO9613 was used in this assessment for calculating noise propagation at noise sensitive locations in close proximity to designated construction haul routes. The calculation method takes account of air absorption, distance attenuation, barriers and topography, and light downwind conditions from source to receptor.
