Ball Review
THE SKINNY ON THE LATEST AND GREATEST
50.5 Hook 16.5 Length 14 Breakpoint Shape SEISMIC: EUPHORIC TSE
Manufacturer’s Intent: The Euphoric TSE is designed to provide length and control on light to medium oil patterns.
Core: This ball uses the Overb core, which pro- duces an RG of 2.55 with a high differential of .055. We saw about 4 inches of flare with our layouts. This is the same core used in the origi- nal Euphoric (April 2014) and the Euphoria (not reviewed) before that.
Coverstock: The Euphoric TSE is wrapped with the tournament black TSE solid reactive cover- stock. It comes out of the factory finished with polish. This is the same coverstock used on the Desperado TSE and Raging Bull TSE (April 2014). The effective surface grit is 5200 with an RA value of 1.49.
Overview: The Euphoric TSE is the tournament special edition of the Euphoric, and it is a great complement to its predecessor. This ball really smoothed out the USBC Doubles/Singles pattern for us, enabling us to play up the track on the fresh for more of an inside angle. It produced a predictable motion in the backend, with a strong drive through the pins. I was impressed with the carry and hitting power on the USBC pattern, as well as on the lighter house pattern. The ball saved its energy nicely as it made its move off the breakpoint. On Stone Street, with the higher concentration of oil in the middle of the lane, our breakpoint was a little too late, and we were forced closer to the track area. But I would suggest this as a second ball to the original Euphoric or the new Equalizer in your league bag. That said, it would be a great benchmark ball when you hit the tournament lanes. The TSE

version was about four boards less hook than the original on Stone Street. This is a great ball for players with higher rev rates to control back- end reaction. Slower ball speed bowlers will love it because of the ease with which it gets through the front part of the lanes when they’re hooking.
