Environmental Laboratory New products for Thermal Desorption
Markes International has announced the release of a new edition of its “Thermal desorption tubes, accessories and spares” catalogue, containing the latest information on its product range. The 2017/2018 edition of the ever-popular catalogue contains everything needed by the TD analyst to ensure successful VOC and SVOC monitoring, from sorbent tubes and starter kits to sampling accessories and instrument spares.
A refreshed layout for the company’s range of application-specifi c sorbent tubes makes it easier than ever before for customers to fi nd what they’re looking for, while there is a new one-page summary of accessories for tube-based sampling, and a new section on the recently-released HiSorb sorptive extraction probes.
As for previous editions, the catalogue contains the same user-friendly layout, with clickable contents lists, cross-references, and indexes enabling users to quickly fi nd what they’re looking for. The catalogue is available as an interactive on-line version and can also be requested in hard-copy format by emailing

The Next Level of True Blue Performance: New GC Inlet Liners in Stock Now GC method
development just got easier for scientists all around the globe. Restek’s EZGC online method development tools are now available in English, Portuguese, Spanish, French,
Italian, Dutch, German, Japanese, and Chinese languages. No matter where you are in the world, EZGC software lets you develop new GC methods in minutes directly from your desk and optimize or modify existing methods reliably and without guesswork. Increase your productivity with our free, easy-to-use EZGC online software—it saves time, increases certainty, and is now available in multiple languages.
This new and improved version of Restek’s popular EZGC chromatogram modeler for polymer capillary columns is just as simple to use as the original, but it has been updated and now offers advanced options that give you more control.
Based on user feedback, the new Pro EZGC chromatogram modeler lets you do the following: start with either the column you have or a column recommended by the programme, select compounds from our libraries or bring your own list, target specifi c compounds for resolution, alter the GC conditions to optimise your model quickly and easily, repeatedly refi ne the temperature programme, switch carrier gases, change the control method (constant fl ow, pressure, or linear velocity), view elution temperatures in the peak list, and see results for multiple phases.
The EZGC method translator and fl ow calculator tools make it simple to switch carrier gases, change column dimensions or control parameters, or to optimize a method for speed or effi ciency. Simply enter your method specifi cations and the programme will return a full set of calculated method conditions that will provide similar chromatography. Use the EZGC method translator and fl ow calculator tool to optimise your analysis for speed so you can increase sample throughput.
