ECOTECH announces its merger with French group ACOEM.
The merger brings together proven innovators in science and engineering who share a vision to improve environmental, productivity and regulatory outcomes for government agencies, industries and communities around the world.
The deal will see ECOTECH, ACOEM and their customers benefit from a diversified product portfolio and accelerated distribution and access into new markets and industries.
Ion Science says “Bonjour” to New French Office
Ion Science, manufacturer of gas detection instrumentation for global occupational health and environmental monitoring applications, headquartered in Cambridgeshire, UK - has opened an office in the South of France.
Ion Science France will be the company’s third office in Europe and fourth worldwide, all supported by a global distributor network. Headed up by current France and Africa Territory Manager, Xavier Zinsch, the new facility will help strengthen the company’s position in the French petrochemical, biochemistry and oil and gas industries.
Duncan Johns, Ion Science Managing Director comments: “As the number of customers increases in the European region, establishing an office in France has always been an important strategic move for us. Having traditionally sold through distributors, we are confident it will enable us to offer an even better service and further penetrate our target markets. We will be focusing our business development efforts in this area in the months ahead.
He comments: “Opening the French office underlines our commitment to extending our geographic reach to match the needs of the global petrochemical and oil and gas industries in particular.”
France and Africa Territory Manager, Xavier Zinsch
Xavier Zinsch adds: “Setting up the French office will enable us to better serve our customers and partners across France and the French speaking world. It is excellent opportunity for me and the business, and it is a great privilege to be given the chance to expand the French speaking market.”
Ecotech, MD, Nicholas Dal Sasso
“The extensive expertise ECOTECH possesses in air quality complements our well-established know-how in acoustics and vibration, making the ACOEM Group the world’s first company to position itself in the measurement, analysis, and control of all types of environmental parameters,” says Fabien Condemine, ACOEM Group CEO. “Our merger with ECOTECH also enables us to speed up our international growth, notably by opening markets in Australia, India, and Southeast Asia.”
Nicholas Dal Sasso, ECOTECH Managing Director said, “With an increasingly volatile global environment, we are seeing a growing sense of urgency and need for high quality environmental monitoring solutions, particularly in China and India. The merger fast-tracks ECOTECH’s ability to provide a broader range of monitoring solutions in existing markets and meet growing customer needs in new ones. For example noise monitoring, which is an established part the ACOEM suite of monitoring technologies, will complement and enhance ECOTECH’s capacity to find innovative system solutions to environmental monitoring problems.”
This merger will enable both companies to leverage their expertise and positioning: ECOTECH will develop its expertise in air quality over all regions covered by ACOEM Group, notably Europe, North America, and Brazil. ACOEM Group will develop its expertise related to noise and vibration pollution in all regions covered by ECOTECH, notably Australia, India, and Southeast Asia.
Leveraging this merger as well as its positioning in the high-growth market for monitoring environmental parameters, ACOEM Group seeks to double its sales revenue by 2020.
“The successful merger of ECOTECH and ACOEM provides all stakeholders – staff, customers and distributors alike – new opportunities for accelerated growth, in turn, providing a promising future for us all,” concluded Nicholas.
