Worcester Warriors score new IT partner

Worcester Warriors’ Sixways ground

Premiership rugby team Worcester Warriors have agreed a four-year commercial partnership with EBC Group, which will see the Halesowen-based technology provider become the club’s official IT partner, as well as sponsoring the prestigious hospitality area at Sixways. The EBC XV Club will host Warriors’ hospitality guests

on match days, as well as home and away directors. Warriors’ partnership manager Leyton Williams

said: “We are delighted to welcome EBC Group to the Warriors partnership family. Having another partner on board shows the positivity that surrounds the Warriors within the business community.” EBC Group is one of a growing number of

businesses to recognise the benefit of a relationship

with Warriors, backing up their recent commercial partnerships with Wolverhampton Racecourse, Midlands Air Ambulance and Worcestershire Rapids. EBC Group managing director Richard Lane said

that as the club’s official IT partner they would be fully managing all aspects of the Warriors’ IT. He said: “Our sponsorship of the XV Club will help

us promote our services to business leaders across Worcestershire, as well as providing an excellent facility for us to host hospitality and events.” The Warriors has appointed Gary Gold as director

of rugby, initially until the end of the season. He has extensive experience at the highest level of the game, having worked with teams in northern and southern hemisphere rugby.

Sector Focus

Rugby offer from Eventmasters

Sports hospitality agency Eventmasters is looking to score with a significant expansion of its rugby operations. The Birmingham-based business,

at the forefront of its sector for more than 30 years, which arranges tickets and hospitality for clients across the UK, has secured a two year extension of its Official Licensed Operator status with the RFU, providing official hospitality at Twickenham. And it has agreed a deal with Harlequins, based next door at The Twickenham Stoop, to utilise the club’s corporate facilities on England International match days. Eventmasters managing director

Denise Sheasby said: “Building work has begun on our former marquee venue so we needed to find alternative accommodation. The Harlequins arrangement is excellent. The club has quality purpose-built facilities that will enable us to host match day parties, grow numbers and generally improve our offer.” Eventmasters employs former

England and British & Irish Lions International Tim Stimpson as its rugby ambassador. “Tim will continue in his master of ceremonies roll,” said Mrs Sheasby.
