Awards night in sell-out success
The Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce annual awards and dinner has received an incredible response – with tickets selling out eight weeks before the event. More than 1,000 people will be in attendance
at Birmingham’s ICC for the 30 March event, which will be hosted by author, broadcaster and politician Gyles Brandreth. It means the only remaining method to secure
a spot at the dinner is through sponsorship opportunities. GBCC chief executive Paul Faulkner said: “We
are delighted and overwhelmed by response to this year’s annual dinner. It is not only a reflection of our growing membership but also the positivity among businesses in the region. “We are also thrilled with the volume and the
high quality of entries we have received for the awards. It proves that the Greater Birmingham
region is a hotbed of business acumen, enterprise and entrepreneurship.” HSBC and Elonex are already on board as the
event’s principal sponsors– while Arup, Wesleyan, West Midland Reserve Forces’ and Cadets Association (WMRFCA) and South City College Birmingham will sponsor the International Business, Contribution to the Community, Business of the Year and People Development respectively. Accountant RSM is sponsoring the drinks reception but there is a range of other sponsorship packages available. Other awards to be handed out on the night
include Retail, People Development, Customer Service, Sales and Marketing, and Manufacturing. A Business of the Year will be revealed. Mr Faulkner added: “There are a host of other
sponsorship opportunities available to benefit businesses of all sizes.
“We are set to welcome more than 1,000 people
on the night, including some of the region’s most influential figures, so the event provides a great platform to promote your business.” Also speaking at the annual dinner is Chamber
president Paul Kehoe, who will be continuing his efforts to put Birmingham on the world map. The theme he has adopted for his term as
president was ‘geography’, and specifically Birmingham’s place in the world.
