Prestigious line-up for Women’s Day
Veteran broadcaster Anita Bhalla and communications expert Farzana Baduel are the guest speakers at an Asian Business Chamber of Commerce event to mark International Women’s Day. International Women’s Day is celebrated
throughout the world to recognise the progress that has been made to inspire women and to celebrate their achievements. This year, it takes place on 8 March – and
ABCC is holding its own celebration at Edgbaston cricket ground. As well as enjoying a varied 26-year career
with the BBC, Anita Bhalla has presented a host of other national programmes. She is currently chair of performances Birmingham Ltd (Town Hall and Symphony Hall), the Creative City Partnership and a board member of the Greater Birmingham & Solihull LEP. Anita has also won a string of awards and received an OBE in 2009 for services to broadcasting and communities. Farzana Baduel is founder and CEO of Curzon
