Manby Bowdler join as Chamber patrons

Law firm FBC Manby Bowdler (FBCMB) have become patrons of the Asian Business Chamber of Commerce. Having primarily operated across the Black

Country and Shropshire, FBCMB took a big step into the Birmingham market last year by opening an office at Edgbaston stadium, the home of Warwickshire County Cricket Club. The agreement saw FBCMB become the

cricket club’s official legal partner. Sales director Neil Lloyd said: “We opened our

office in Birmingham last year, and have been looking to partner with an organisation that could help us raise the profile of our offering. “Our view is that the ABCC is well positioned

to help us increase our exposure into Greater Birmingham and in particular into the Asian business sector. “Our objective is to deliver the stellar service

that our current customers receive to a wider business population, and in doing so become the main legal provider to ABCC members.” ABCC director Anjum Khan said: “I am

delighted to welcome FBC Manby Bowdler on board as patrons. They have a glowing reputation through their work in the Black Country and Shropshire and as relative newcomers to Birmingham we look forward to helping them make new connections.”

I am convinced that the region's future depends on the widest possible contribution from business and I was delighted with the reception I received.” ABCC president Saqib Bhatti said: "It was a

real honour to welcome the new Lord Lieutenant to the West Midlands to our patrons’ dinner. Our first big event of 2017 demonstrated the strength of the ABCC with its sponsors, patrons and friends in attendance showcasing our diversity as an organisation. “2017 is a special year for the ABCC marking

our 30th anniversary. We are proud of our role in the West Midlands and our strength means we continue to thrive, grow and influence the development of this region and represent our members at the highest levels.”

Local grammar school becomes a wow zone

Birmingham internet company Wow Zone has become a strategic digital partner of Sutton’s Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School. Wow Zone is a growing digital agency based

in Branston Street, and has been in business for 12 years. The firm says it ‘does everything, from

growing businesses online via digital marketing to designing (and building) robust and innovative websites’. In fact, its first job for Bishop Vesey’s will be

to create a new website for the school, which will be aimed at forging links with local businesses. Wow Zone’s CEO Qasim Majid said: “I see a

bright future ahead regarding the partnership between ourselves and Bishop Vesey’s.

46 CHAMBERLINK March 2017 “Forming corporate partnerships in the way

that the school is doing is extremely forward- thinking and they are undoubtedly setting the standard to which academic institutions should embrace digital marketing.” The new relationship has been bolstered

further by Wow Zone’s Amo Panesar, the company’s PR & online marketing executive. He is a BVGS alumni and was amazed at the progress the school has made in his absence. Bishop Vesey’s development director and

deputy director of sport, Brian Davies, said: “There was significant interest from several other digital agencies, but Wow Zone was the clear choice. “We see our partnership with Wow Zone as a

key element for the future growth of our corporate partnerships.”
