NEWS Foodie Events CHOCOLATE HOUSE IN EXETER


Dorset-based independent chocolatier Chococo, founded by Claire & Andy Burnet, opened its third Chocolate House in the centre of Exeter in June 2016. Customers visiting Chococo’s


new Chocolate House can eat, drink and delight in the world of fine chocolate, with the ability not just to purchase a wide selection of handmade chocolates, but also discover unique origin hot chocolates, locally roasted Crankhouse coffee, cakes by Emma of Emma’s Bread and more. Located on Gandy Street, just off the High Street, the Chocolate House


interior is inspired by the colourful packaging of Chococo’s chocolate boxes and, as it has an upstairs seating area, there is space for customers to relax over their hot chocolate! Tis new Chocolate House stocks Chococo’s full range fine chocolates,


handmade with fine origin chocolate and fresh ingredients, as well as offering customers coffee, a range of hot chocolates, Purbeck ice cream sundaes, toasted waffles and more.


Farrington’s Christmas


Preview Evening Wednesday 16th November


Join Farrington’s Farm Shop in Farrington Gurney for their Christmas Preview Evening on Wednesday 16th November between 3pm – 8. 30pm. It's a wonderful time to sample lots of home-made Christmas goodies, meet local food and drink producers and find that perfect giſt. Jon Torner’s butchery team will be on hand with tips to


help you plan your big feast. Sample from their delicious Christmas range of turkeys, three bird roasts and locally- sourced beef, pork and game. Tere will be advice on Christmas cheeseboards, plenty of tastings, and the shopping village on site will be open too.


Etherington’s Farm Shop Christmas Event 19th to 20th November


Taking place from 11am on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th November, the Christmas Event at Etherington’s Farm Shop in Wheal Rose, Scorrier, gives visitors the chance to enjoy plenty of festive food, to order their Christmas meats and to stock up on local Cornish produce. On the Saturday there will be


children’s entertainment taking place from 11am to 1pm, while the Farm Shop will host a feast in

conjunction with the St Austell Brewery Bar from 11am. During the day there will also be tasting demos, as well as a Christmas card competition prize draw. On the Sunday, the farm shop


opens at 10am, giving an hour to browse before the return of the Etherington’s and St Austell feast at 11am. Troughout the day there will be more tasting demos, along with live music and a festive floristry workshop.
