FAMILY ORGANIC FARMING IN DEVON Jim and Jo have been farming at Higher Hacknell Farm, between Dartmoor and Exmoor, since 1985 – and organically since 1988. Along with vegetable crops and fruit from their own cider orchard, they farm cattle and sheep, fed partly on grass and clover pastures, and partly on the peas and barley that the pair grow themselves, removing the need for imported animal feed. Te farm is also home to organic free
range poultry as well as Gloucester Old Spot and Duroc cross Large White pigs.
