I know I have covered this topic before, but summer is almost here and so I thought it was time to revisit water features. As the weather warms up the presence of water within the garden one way or another is very calming, soothing and cooling. Water features can make a fantastic attraction within the garden.

Water Features.

When talking about water features there are many varieties to consider. If you have a small space or court yard a fountain or bubble feature may be the best option for you, as these can be used in very little space where they can add something special to a dull corner or be the focal point of the space.

You can either use formal or informal water features, but this choice is normally made based on their location and what is around them and how you want

them to work. So, for

example, you can have a modern, contemporary water feature but in natural surroundings, or contemporary or traditional but in a formal manner, such as within a turning area of a drive, large courtyard or near an entrance.

Female Focus

Ponds and lakes. Essentially the same applies, it just depends on the size. These can be single bodies of water, or more which can be linked by streams, cascades and waterfalls. Again, these can either be formal or informal. The formal version normally being more square and accurate in the positioning in regards to property or other features within the garden, and the informal being more like natural lakes and spaces.
