TELESCOPIC AND BRIDGE SYSTEMS An example of a telescopic system was an 11.5m 6082 T6 aluminium structure that was extended and retracted using

The company was formed in 1934 when gangways were originally manufactured using hardwood and built by carpenters. Tyne Gangway was pioneering when it came to introducing lightweight aluminium gangways in the 1960s and today is a world leader in the design and manufacture of access systems with an international customer base.

EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE Using their experience and expertise the company is able to design, manufacture and supply access systems to allow safe transfer to turbines either during construction of the windfarms or during normal operations.

They offer a comprehensive range of accommodation ladders ranging from 3.5m to 30m in length. The step spacing and design criteria are in accordance with ISO 5488 and also manufacture self-levelling and telescopic ladders including a bespoke range of stowage equipment.

hydraulics. An example of a fixed overhead braced bridge was a 30m system which needed to be craned into place from a jack up to a TP. Both systems are still in service and have allowed many personnel to carry out their duties safely.
