Lehigh Valley Yoga Holds Sample Day L


ehigh Valley Yoga, in Allentown, is offering a Free Sample Sunday from noon to 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., September 20, which includes 30-minute sample classes of traditional ashtanga yoga, hot yoga and the new hot Pilates. Live music, yoga demonstrations, henna tattoo painting, tours of the studio and nutrition and green cleaning seminars round out the day. A free unlimited month of yoga will be raffled at 4 p.m. In addition, you can participate in, or just shop at the Yoga Swap Meet. The studio will have space set up to display yoga for nominal $5 fee. Owner Jacque Porterfield says, “Our instructors are


friendly, warm and experienced teaching their yoga style. All are 200-hour-plus registered instructors or have completed a teacher training program at LV Yoga. We always offer one week free for new students, so you have nothing to lose.”

Webinar Discusses Holistic Cancer Care


eo McCormick, DC, will explore alter- native modalities available to cancer patients from 7 to 8 p.m., September 23, as part of the ongoing free webinar series presented by Thermographic Diagnostic Imaging/Health Through Awareness. He will discuss the components of the heal- ing process and what is necessary to heal ourself from cancer. Participants will also learn about non-toxic options with minimal side effects; how to support the immune system while undergoing treatment; and what is necessary to create a healing environment within the body. McCormick believes that cancer healing must focus on empowering the patient with tools to make informed decisions. McCormick began his career at Ursinus College, earned a

doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic and served an internship in patient care at the Palmer College Public Clinic. After graduating cum laude in 1987, he opened a practice in Wayne, Pennsylvania, and established his current practice in Pottstown in 2010.
