Following recent fund raising events, Jayne Webb, co-founder of Jalon Valley A.R.C. animal charity was presented with the cash raised, which will help with the increasing costs of veterinary fees and food for the increasing number of rescued animals they care for. London Boutique, well known for their charity events, held a special raffle to celebrate their 11th Anniversary on 10th June 2015 which raised a total of €100 for ARC and, as Ann was away on holiday, this was presented on her behalf to Jayne Webb by Pamela Eland.

Jalon Valley A.R.C. Benefits from donations

In addition, following the 70th birthday celebrations on 12th May of Dave O’Connor, resident of Jalon, Dave’s wife Lynn presented Jayne with over €300. This was raised by asking friends and guests to donate to the A.R.C. charity instead of buying gifts for Dave. Also to follow will be €60 worth of puppy and kitten food paid for by cash raised by friends unable to attend the party.

Jayne expressed her gratitude for the donations and emphasised that Jalon Valley A.R.C. needs your continued support, so please keep helping. Donation tins can be found in various venues around Jalon. For more information please contact Sally - 625 985 689 or Jayne - 649 310 285. Email:- jalonvalleyarc14@yahoo.co.uk. Recently, 32 of our members enjoyed the wonderful setting of La Cova Restaurant, in El Campello, together with good food and good company. We also welcomed back our social secretary, Ann Wilson and her husband Colin from their latest trip back to the UK. While they were away it was Ann´s 70th Birthday and to commemorate the event, she was presented with a beautiful cake, which had been made by our secretary, Joan Flint.
