We’ve got the numbers! Teulada Moraira Lions final two free* summer concerts
of 2015 at the seafront in Moraira With two nights of great music already under their belt, Teulada Moraira Lions´ Club still have two more free* concerts on offer before their 2015 Summer Season at The Seafront in Moraira (beside the castle) draws to a close. On 16th August, at 8pm, in conjunction with their sponsors for this event, Blacktower Financial Management Group, T.M. Lions are
delighted to present, BLACK
GLITTER, the fantastic, extremely popular, local rock, blues & soul band formed by Paul McCartney’s former ‘Wings’ drummer Geoff Britton who has, during his long and successful career featured with top bands such as East of Eden, Manfred Mann’s Earth Band, Rough Diamond and, of course, Paul McCartney’s Wings, when Geoff made the drummer’s seat his own and recorded many successful albums with the great man himself- including the world wide super hit, ‘Venus and Mars.’ One of the most exciting things about Black Glitter is the voice of lead singer Kelly Lee, the power and range of which enable the band to “do the lady soul and blues repertoires to the max” including great hits from the likes of Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston.
Come along and soak up the sounds for yourselves!
The final concert, on 6th September at 7.30pm is, once again, sponsored by Blevins Franks International Tax & Wealth Management and it is only fitting that T.M Lions close this great series of events on a high with MANHATTON JAZZ, who, as well as being a bunch of immensely talented musicians, have always been generous and enthusiastic supporters of T.M. Lions Club. Manhatton Jazz are, justifiably, immensely popular throughout the Marina Alta here on the Costa Blanca. The sound they produce really is toe-tapping stuff, pretty much guaranteed to make you want to get up out of your seat and boogie to the music – and there is plenty of space in front of the stage where you can make a complete spectacle of yourself. You have been warned!! And appearing as guest vocalist with Manhatton Jazz will be JANETTE GALBRAITH, one of the most popular female vocal entertainers in this area. She began her singing career with ‘Black Diamond’ in 1997 and then worked with the Spanish Fiesta Band ‘Buffalo Group’. In recent years Janette has completed contracts in Japan and Indonesia with ‘Les Belles Duval’ as well as working on cruise ships worldwide. Since returning to Spain she has worked both on her own and with various bands performing Jazz/Blues music. With the talent that will be on stage, another evening of fabulous music is guaranteed! *Admission to all Teulada
