Another piece of vital equipment for the “mini hospital”

Over the past months regular Female Focus readers will know that we have been featuring the invaluable services provided by the Asociacion Amigos Europeos de Javea, who provide an emergency ambulance service from Benidorm to Oliva and covering all the inland areas such as Jalon, Parcent, Pego, pretty much everywhere in the Marina Alta!

Their state-of-the-art ambulances are essentially “mini hospitals”,

and are fully fitted with the latest life-saving equipment. Where the Asociacion Amigos Europeos de Javea really come into their own though, is that with so many unchartered roads and lanes in this part of Spain, an ordinary ambulance service may find it hard to find your home. Importantly the Asociacion Amigos Europeos de Javea ambulances all have your address details, a map to your house, and details of your medical history already stored on-board....and they will reach you in the shortest possible time, when it matters most. FOR JUST €45 FOR A FAMILY FOR A WHOLE YEAR having this private emergency ambulance service available 24/7 for all 365 days of the year gives peace of mind as well as the best chance of early treatment.

Always welcoming new equipment to further their ability to help any persons taken ill, the Asociacion Amigos Europeos de Javea wishes to thank all the volunteers from the Roundabout Charity Shop in Javea who have recently raised funds for a new Vital Signs Monitor. This small but clever device measures pulse, respiration, blood oxygen levels, temperature and blood pressure ... and thanks to mobile phone technology it transmits the results ahead to a hospital A&E department, meaning that straight away when the ambulance arrives the medical team are ready to get to work. Jean Nelson from the Roundabout Charity Shop says “We are delighted to help the Asociacion, and very grateful for the work they do, and to know that their services are there for us when we need them’.

Wherever you live in the Marina Alta, please do yourself and your family an enormous favour. Very many Female Focus readers already have signed up for this service, and we urge all our readers to do the same. In an emergency every second can save a life, especially when you cannot speak for yourself. With vital information about you already recorded, treatment can begin sooner than if initial assessments had to be made.

Join Asociacion Amigos Europeos de Javea by calling Laure Bolufer who is the Registration Manager on 96 579 6099 from 9am to 1pm, Monday to Friday.

Laure will work with you to pinpoint exactly where your house is on the map, and establish the fastest routes to it, and this information will be stored in their system. Please get yourself and your family protected. You’ll be kicking yourself if something happens and you don’t have this service - give you and your family the best chance.
