Europa Worldwide in Glasgow has made a bold step with the launch of a new emblem and strapline, as well as creating dedicated divisions for its transport and logistics services. The striking new look features the Phoenician princess Europa, after whom the continent of Europe was named. Not only does the Group have a dynamic new look, Europa has also created individual operating divisions for its specialist services to give each vital part of the

business greater prominence. Its roadfreight operations

will now be known as Europa Road, logistics operations as Europa Warehouse, Air & Sea as Europa Air & Sea and specialist show freight services as Europa Showfreight. The new emblem will be rolled

agreement with South Ayrshire Council has enabled the Scottish Airshow organisers to guarantee an enhanced event based again in Ayr and Glasgow Prestwick Airport. Glasgow Prestwick Chief

Executive Iain Cochrane said: “Last year’s magnificent two-day show was an outstanding success when over 60,000 people were treated to spectacular flying and static displays in perfect weather. We’re therefore delighted that the 2015 show has been confirmed and that it will be bigger and better than last year. “We’re looking forward to meeting the challenges this will bring and I know our staff, with their teamwork, skill and passion for aviation, will rise to the occasion as always.” Glasgow Prestwick Airport also

recently welcomed the Westminster announcement setting out the programme and criteria to select Britain’s first Spaceport. The UK

Government has re-affirmed the country’s need to have an operational Spaceport capability by 2018 to support the burgeoning UK space industry. The facility will become a launch

station for next-generation satellites and space instruments using the modern generation of horizontal take-off space launch vehicles. It will also be an operating base for manned flights using reusable space craft such as those being developed by Virgin Galactic and XCOR. It is expected that the Spaceport

will become a major hub for companies involved in the space industry.
