Star Refrigeration Accolade for engineering team

Eureka Solutions

Business systems firm wins ‘Fastest Growing’ award

After only two years as a business partner of NetSuite, Eureka Solutions, award-winning provider of business systems, has been awarded a stunning accolade by the leading provider of enterprise-class cloud ERP suites.

East Kilbride-based Eureka Solutions, which operates across the UK, has been named Fastest Growing Partner in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) at a prestigious NetSuite Business Partner event. The award recognises that

Eureka Solutions, one of NetSuite’s

most successful UK partners, has comprehensively outstripped its competitors as it continues to assist UK business in the rapidly accelerating migration of services to the cloud. The latest accolade follows a

series of new business successes which have seen Eureka Solutions increase the rate of uptake of NetSuite cloud-based solutions by 300 per cent in the past six months – and implement more sites than any other partner in Europe, by a remarkable margin of 50 per cent.

The team responsible for the world’s largest zero carbon 90°C (194°F) ammonia district heat pump, which has been installed in Scandinavia but designed and manufactured in Glasgow by Star Refrigeration, has recently received the International Energy Agency’s Rittinger Award. The company received the

award for ground-breaking research, design and development of major heat pump technology, which has made it possible to deliver heat at high temperatures using a zero GWP refrigerant. The substitution of HFC gases for

ammonia eliminates an equivalent of 800,000km in car travel from gases leaking into the atmosphere. The large-scale renewable

district heating installation provides hot water and heating for the buildings, offices, schools, business and hospitals of the city of Drammen, a community near the capital city of Oslo with a population of 63,000. The 13MW industrial heat pump

“harvests” heat from a local river and boosts it to heat the equivalent of 6000 homes. Importantly, 85 per cent of the heat from the energy centre is fossil-fuel free.

SafeDeposits tenancy scheme is the number one choice

SafeDeposits Scotland now holds 60 per cent of all deposits safely protected by tenancy deposit schemes in Scotland, equating to more than 90,000 deposits. Tenancy deposit schemes were

introduced to safeguard tenancy deposits and ensure the deposit is available to be returned to the tenant at the end of the tenancy, if they have met the terms of their tenancy agreement. Te schemes also offer an

alternative dispute resolution route if the landlord and tenant disagree over deductions to the deposit. Tree tenancy deposit schemes

have been granted a licence by the Scotish Government, but SafeDeposits Scotland has a unique position in the market as the only scheme which is based in Scotland and is the only not-for- profit scheme. Unlike other

related charity, the SafeDeposits Scotland Trust – a grant-giving charity designed to promote

education, training and best practice in Scotland’s private renting sector.
