By BRIAN WARREN When Joe from Pub Italia
called me recently and said, “Want to do a garage full of Indian motorcycles?” I jumped at it. Meet Joe Nuncio. His friends
call him “Indian Joe”. Joe has had a passion for
motorcycles all his life. Thirty years ago he picked up and restored a 1940 Indian Inline Four. It’s still his favourite. Over
the years he has added a few more to his collection. The day of our photo shoot, he pulled out the bikes in his garage. They included a 1948 Indian Chief, a 1946 Indian Chief Bobber and a 1950 Harley Davidson Panhead. Joe told me the story of the
Bianchi that is parked in the back of his garage. His grandfather bought it brand new in 1955, and it has always been in the family. Joe brought it back from Calabria, Italy two years ago, and he plans to pass it down to future generations. We could not help but notice
the 1981 Ferrari f 308 gtbi parked in the garage. When Joe’s wife, Donna, retired, Joe bought her the car as a retirement gift. Pretty impressive. The garage is a work in
progress. Joe and his brother, Tony, own and run Milano Autobody and Paint in Little Italy, which has been very successful for many years. Looking forward to seeing the
final project, Joe. And love the bikes.
