It’s Alfa Romeo time
Alfa Romeo is officially back in Canada, and what a splash it’s making! The sexy new 4C is selling out all over the world and it looks like the story will repeat itself in Canada. The new dealer- ship was officially launched on May 9 in Oakville, Ont. The Maserati and Alfa Romeo brands will be sold together and new showrooms are planned for London and Windsor later this year. If all goes as planned, there will be 15 Canadian dealer- ships by the end of 2015, and 20 by 2016. This is bound to create a new group of Alfa Romeo owners, and the Alfa Romeo Club of Ottawa is just waiting to share with new owners the enjoyment of those new cars as well as the amazing vintage Alpha Romeos on the road. I sat down with Marc Faubert, President
of Ottawa’s Alpha Romeo Club (ARCO). The club was founded in 1975 and just recently celebrated its 40th
Anniversary.
We spoke about this fun-filled club. As with many clubs, ARCO welcomes all Alfa car owners and fans alike. Their goal is to

share their enjoyment and passion for this venerable marquee. Currently they have 40 members. Membership is $15 per person. If you are an Alpha Romeo owner, what does the club and its members have in store for you?
They host approximately 14 events throughout the year with certain “can’t miss” events – for example:
June 20: The Annual Italian Car Parade during Italian Week and FCA Ottawa Fer- rari Festival activities; June 24–28: The National Alfa Romeo Convention in Providence, Rhode Island; July 5: The FIAT Breakout event in Mon- treal; August 15–16: The Raduno Este event in Kingston; September 27: The Raduno Montebello at the Chateau Montebello in Québec, as they join more than 150 Italian cars for a lovely brunch and gathering.
