Dunblane High School hopes you all had an amazing Christmas and New Year. We are looking forward to sharing school news and events with the readers of The Wire through the School Jotter pages in which we will now be included!

Flynn Starrs, S3 Pupil thought that Dunblane High was missing a very valuable opportunity to share school news and achievements in not having a school page within The Wire whilst many other local schools and nurseries do. After reading September’s edition, Flynn noticed that Dunblane High was not included in the magazine’s spread of local activities and happenings and thought that he would make an attempt to start up a page to ensure Dunblane High School was represented in the magazine. After suggesting this to his Pupil Support Teacher (Mr Boyce) it was given the green light.

A small team of interested pupils has been established. They will be reporting for Dunblane High School’s new page. The team consists of: Oliver Stewart (S1), Maeve Topliff (S1), Andrew Stuart (S3), Matthew Smith (S3) and Flynn Starrs (S3).

In the coming months, they aim to inform the local community of all the great achievements, activities, upcoming events and exciting learning opportunities that Dunblane High School has to off er. The school community is very proud of the high standards that are set and achieved within our school and want to share that with our community. This local, free magazine is a fantastic vehicle for doing just that. So look out for next months edition, the team is already working on ideas and articles which will make interesting reading.
