Cam Taylor has been a fixture amongst Ontario Ultimate organizers for the last decade. Hailing from Peterborough, Ontario, Cam has been one of the key organizers of the Peterborough Ultimate League (PUL) and supporter of the development of Ultimate in the region.

Over the years Cam has presented at the Ultimate Canada Conference on several occasions. He first presented at the 2008 conference on “The Carbon Flip.” The Carbon Flip is an alternative method to determine who wins the pre-game flip by awarding the traditional advantages associated with winning the flip to the team with the fewest motorized vehicles at the field at game time. Since his presentation on the Carbon Flip, leagues across Canada have taken it up as a way to promote car-pooling and cycling to league games.

Ultimate Canada Conference as part of the “Enter the Dragons” sponsorship session. He and two other presenters were given the opportunity to make a pitch to four potential sponsors (the dragons). Instead of asking the Dragons for funding for his own junior program, he challenged them, and all those in attendance to invest in making more discs available to children and youth to start new Ultimate programs in their community. According to Cam we need to “Put a disc in their hands and this game in their hearts,” a quote that will be attached to the 2014 Art Hawkins Great Canadian Ultimate Game.
