cutting by Winter Park mayor Kenneth Bradley, more than 250 dogs and their owners participated. The tail-wagging event raised more than $9,000 for the Lost Pets Foundation, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organi- zation formed by Winter Park Lost Pets to expand awareness of vital pet pro- tection services including microchips, to support local pet rescue efforts, and to help pets in need. In addition to a doggie

goodie bag filled with healthy treats, pet food samples, leash, toys, and a copy of The New Barker, participating pets qualified for a free microchip ID underwritten by the Lost Pets Foundation. The event drew the

participation of the Winter Park fire and police departments and featured more than 30 pet-friendly vendors. Two local rescue

groups, Goldcoast Greyhound Adoptions of Orlando and A Cause4Paws were on hand with adopt- able dogs and four lucky dogs found new homes. Several fosters signed up to help both groups.
