Cesar’s live show was funny and thought-provoking. The audi- ence loved his four legged companion, Junior who joined him on stage. He took us through the thrilling journey of how he transforms dogs and shared that the real transformation takes place in the human. I was intrigued by his simple concept of bringing harmony and bal- ance into our lives for the sake of our dogs. He reminded us of the importance of remaining calm and patient, something he has found difficult for America’s dog owners to grasp. Towards the end of his

show, Cesar invited several dogs from local shelters and rescue groups on stage. The dogs cho- sen had all displayed behavioral issues such as aggression or excessive jumping. He worked directly with four different foster dogs from Lost Angels Animal Rescue (www.LostAngelsAnimalRescue.org) and Husky Haven of Florida (www.HuskyHavenFL.com). It was impressive to see him assess the dogs and then help them within mere moments. This part of the show gave the audience an opportunity to see

his techniques firsthand, dispelling any suggestion that editing alone allows him to get dogs to behave on his TV show. I just don’t comprehend

the reason some people speak so negatively about him, and his techniques, which are always evolving. I find nothing negative about a man who has dedicated his entire life to help- ing animals. He has had tremendous success with very aggressive breeds, including some dogs that other profes- sional trainers were not suc- cessful with. Some trainers may believe his techniques are extreme, but perhaps it’s because he takes on very extreme cases. Cesar does not believe in euthanization and

has proven he never gives up on a dog. His journey to “train humans and rehabilitate dogs” has been remarkable, in spite of critics who often attack his methods venomously and irrespon- sibly.

Personally, I support his techniques. Watching Cesar live, was an unforgettable experience to an animal lover like myself. U
