Marriage Love &
Ansley & Mitchell Moore Collin M. Smith Photography Florence native Ansley Boyce first met Mitchell Moore through a mutual friend in 2003
at the FoxTrot Festival in Marion. She was 13 at the time, he was 14. The couple began dating, seeing one another only on weekends since they both lived in different towns. Aſter a year, they went separate ways. Fast forward to 2008 - Ansley was hanging out with some friends, and the girls were reminiscing of days gone by. Memories of Mitchell soon filled her mind. “Shortly aſter our girl’s conversation, I got up the nerve to call him.” The couple talked for several weeks but nothing happened, as they parted ways once again. As fate would have it, they casually ran into one another in 2011 at Wendy’s. “I spotted him walking in, and I immediately wondered if we would have a future togeth- er. All of my happy memories of us being together came flooding back. Within a week, he called me and asked if it was ok for him to come visit. I told him yes and our relationship was rekindled. We have been inseparable ever since.” Ansley admits that Mitchell was unlike any other man her age. He was mature, confident about his faith, and kindhearted. The list goes on! “When we talked, there was no doubt his loving, sincere feelings towards me were beyond anything I had ever experienced and everything I had dreamed of.” As their feelings grew for one another, Mitchell knew she was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. While attending a wedding in April 2012, he asked Ansley to accompany him for a walk on the beach. He soon bent down on one
knee and asked the question every girl dreams of hearing. Ansley accepted and began plan- ning for their special day. She already knew the location she wanted, even before Mitchell proposed. “Since I was a little girl passing by in the car or on the boat during summer va- cations, I always dreamed I would get married in Murrells Inlet.” She was excited to see her dream come to life as the couple selected the perfect church as the place for their wedding. She found her dress at the first and only stop she made that day. “The staff gathered
information from me about what I was interested in and came with about ten dresses for me to try. I tried on each with an open mind, but one in particular leſt everybody speech- less. It was an A-line taffeta gown with one shoulder. This gown was chic and sophisti- cated, and it combined up to date trends with tasteful elegance. I knew it was the one.” She was quickly assisted to find the perfect veil to match, ultimately choosing a two tier, cathedral length style with lace and crystals. For her shoes, she chose silver Helen’s Heart cowgirl boots. Mitchell and his fellow groomsmen selected the classic yet elegant ivory and black tuxedos. “The men each got measured and fitted within a short period of time. Their experience was much less of a hassle than anticipated.” For invitations and party favors, Ansley visited Williamson Printing. “Our invitations were simple ivory with black embossed script writing. We chose personalized reusable cups in black with ivory script writing of our names and date of the wedding.”
