Senior Lecturer Diagnostic Radiography & Imaging £36,661 - £46,400 pa
Full time position working 37 hours per week, 1.0 FTE
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced HCPC registered diagnostic radiographer committed to enhancing the profile of radiographers in the UK to join our team. You will join one of the largest radiography education providers in the UK and will be part of a dynamic and innovative team who are at the forefront of learning and teaching developments.
You will have a good first degree in diagnostic imaging or equivalent and ideally either have, or be studying towards, a doctorate. Fractional appointments will be considered.
We offer an extensive provision at undergraduate (including an assistant practitioner programme) and postgraduate levels. Our post graduate provision encompasses a wide range of CPD opportunities from short courses to full Masters’ programmes and doctorate study.
You will play an active part in the education of students and in taking forward the research strategy within the Department and in developing the research environment alongside other radiography staff. Expertise in research will be demonstrated through either evidence of successful grant awards, successful completion of research studies, research outputs of at least national quality, presentation of research at national and international conferences and successful supervision of postgraduate MSc and doctoral students.

BASED AT DIANA PRINCESS OF WALES HOSPITAL, GRIMSBY HEAD OF CT/MRI
BAND 8A: £39,239 - £47,088 PRO RATA PER ANNUM • 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK
We are looking for a dynamic forward thinking Radiographer as a Head of the Department to provide leadership to the Grimsby CT & MRI teams. This post has become available due to the retirement of the current post holder. The department is undergoing a signifi cant amount of investment currently and this is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate. We are looking for someone who relishes a challenge, enjoys change management and a desire to provide exemplary quality standards of imaging services for our patients.
The successful post holder will be a high performing individual someone with excellent problem solving and decision making skills who will be responsible for providing effective operational management and professional leadership for the CT and MR Department. The end result to be ensuring a clinical and cost effective patient focused service is delivered in line with the Trust’s strategic objectives, national and local performance targets.
The CT/MR department houses a GE VCT 64 slice Lightspeed CT scanner, and a Philips Achieva 1.5T MRI scanner. The MR Scanner/department will be undergoing a replacement/refurbishment programme in 2014. The project board has been formed and it is expected that the successful applicant will take a major role in leading on this replacement/ refurbishment programme.
Business Cases are also being complied to explore potential procurement of an additional MR and CT scanner for the Trust to cope with the rising demand for these services.

The Radiology department is also in the process of procuring a new Radiology Information System for implementation this fi nancial year; which will be installed in CT and MR.
The successful applicants remit will include a clinical requirement in CT and/or MR as well as to offer leadership to both the CT and MRI provision working with consultant colleagues, and local radiographers.
This position offers an opportunity for someone to embrace a role in leadership at a time of change in local provision and respond by supporting with direction and innovation as we deliver CT & MR services over a seven day week. The successful candidate will be offered a position with the base site at Grimsby, but may be required to cover at other sites within the Trust on occasions, in response to service needs.
Both sites & modalities operate extended day seven day opening, and as such staff must have a fl exible approach to working hours, however the deputy will be expected to liaise with the Head of Department to ensure consistent leadership cover is available on site.
