The Academic Unit of Radiology at the University of Sheffi eld performs clinical MRI and research using Magnetic Resonance (MR) techniques. Our strengths include neuroimaging, functional MR, fetal and paediatric imaging, pulmonary imaging and the use of hyperpolarised agents.


Working as part of a leading research team based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital and Sheffi eld Children’s Hospital, you will manage and conduct high quality clinical and research MR imaging. This is the chance to further your research experience and help us achieve excellence as you put your knowledge of high quality MR imaging into practice.


You should have substantial radiographic experience including two years in MRI. Your up-to-date knowledge of MR systems, safety issues, legislation, and quality standards will ideally be matched with a postgraduate qualifi cation in MRI. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is essential.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join our friendly, forward thinking, newly developing MRI team at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Band 7 Radiographer with MRI experience in Neuro, MSK, body, pelvic and angiographic applications. This is an excellent opportunity for you to develop your skills and knowledge by experiencing a broad mix of specialised clinical applications such as foetal and cardiac imaging.


You will also have the opportunity to become involved in research scanning and will be expected to help contribute to the development of junior Radiographers within the team. The department encourages CPD and is supported by a team of Physicists and Radiologists who contribute to the teaching of all team members.
