Imaging of children in adult hospitals: Improving quality, sharing practice

The Alexander Technique for diagnostic radiographers


18 September, SoR HQ This interactive practical workshop is an introduction to the Alexander Technique as an educational training programme with specific applications to the working tasks of radiographers engaged in general diagnostic imaging. Learning outcomes include: • An understanding of the way you ‘use’ yourself and how it influences everyday life as well as work;


• Recognising patterns of posture and movement which may be causing excessive tension, aches and pains, restricted movement, stiff joints, etc.


• Recognising the importance of adopting a better postural support for a more efficient use of the body;

BNMS Spring Meeting 11-14 May, Harrogate


The SoR will be exhibiting on stand number 28 at the BNMS (British Nuclear Medicine Society) Spring Meeting in Harrogate. As well as a scientific programme with new CME sessions on infection/ inflammation imaging and patient advocacy, the event will feature a boot camp dedicated to imaging and reporting tips on conventional radionuclide and hybrid imaging. There will be dedicated training/refresher sessions on CT anatomy for clinical practitioners, and a neurology CME session focusing on dementia.
