Post Title: Product Specialist


Location: Vertual Ltd, Cottingham Road, Hull Vertual Ltd is an award winning, high technology company which supplies virtual environment systems for training and education in radiotherapy to training centres and hospitals worldwide, working with a network of established distribution partners.


Now established with over a hundred customers worldwide, the company retains the ‘family business’ feel from its ‘spin-out’ origin and therefore offers the successful applicant the chance to enjoy varied work, including product support, sales, marketing and customer support activities. The role is part of the team responsible for providing on-site and online training, testing new versions of software, generating training media and demonstrating Vertual’s products to potential customers at conferences and exhibitions. The position will involve UK and overseas travel.


Applicants should have a degree or equivalent professional qualification and experience. A clinical background with radiotherapy and radiography experience is desirable, however not essential if significant appropriate skills and experience have been gained in another business sector. Excellent analytical and communication skills (both verbal and written) are essential. Good team working and relationship building skills are key, along with strong presentation skills.

Salary range: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Sonographer to join our friendly and enthusiastic team of Radiographers who contribute to the provision of ultrasound services in Grampian.


You will have attained previous experience since gaining your formal qualification in medical ultrasound and have advanced skills within specific areas of medical ultrasound or attained a higher postgraduate qualification.


You will be expected to fully participate in all ultrasound examinations including Doppler studies and localisations for aspirations. We operate a system of work to enable independent Sonographer diagnostic reporting. Training of medical and non-medical staff is also a function of the various ultrasound departments within NHS Grampian and forms an integral part of the post.


Job plans will depend on experience, but all enquiries are welcome.

Essential Criteria Possess an IIRRT validated qualification in Radiation Therapy At least three years experience.
