Darent Valley Hospital is a progressive and forward thinking Trust serving a local population of 200,000. We have an extensive range of modalities including CT, MRI, ultrasound, breast imaging, nuclear medicine, bone densitometry, interventional and cardiac angiography and all aspects of general and fluoroscopic radiography.
We are looking for highly motivated professionals with good leadership skills and commitment to ongoing service improvement. Following continuing expansion of both maternity and general ultrasound services and collaborative working with Queens Marys hospital at Sidcup, sonographers are required to join our friendly, patient focused team.
Applications are invited from enthusiastic and motivated sonographers prepared to work flexibly within the department (and cross site) in order to deliver a range of examinations which include: obstetrics (including NT’s, Doppler), gynaecology, EPU, general, paediatrics, small parts, MSK and vascular. All sonographers independently report examinations performed.
Flexible working may involve evenings and weekends (as part of normal working hours) dependent on the needs of the department, however, this can be discussed at interview.
You must possess a Diploma in medical ultrasound. Vascular and MSK training would be an advantage however applications are also invited from sonographers that hold the certificate in ultrasound for Obs/gynae. Nuchal accreditation/training and HPC registration is essential.

Sonographer/Advanced Practitioner – Band 7 £30,764 - £40,558

Full-time, Fixed term for 6 months/potential Secondment Opportunity We are seeking applications from enthusiastic, motivated team-players. As a Sonographer you will be expected to independently perform and report a range of Abdominal, Gynae & DVT ultrasound examinations at sites across NHS Highland. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in vascular, musculoskeletal and neonatal hip ultrasound. The successful candidate must hold the DMU/PgDip/PgCert.
