LAUNCH GALLERY QUIRKY FOR KIDS


Midlands-based popcorn manufacturers Savoury & Sweet are launching their new range of The Simpson’s branded popcorn at IFE13. The Simpson’s branded products will include a range of exciting popcorn flavours, including Jam Donut, Bolognese and Cheesey Cheese to represent the quirky and funny side of the characters. The range is aimed at younger consumers, children and families and the vibrant pack- aging and excitingly named flavour combinations will appeal to the target market.


FROM THE ROLLING HILLS


Drawing spring water from the rolling hills of the Welsh Marshes, Heartsease Farm have produced a range of premium sparkling presses. Bottled in both glass and plastic they allow a range of outlets to stock the drinks, which are launched in February. Coming in a range of flavours, including English Elderflower, British Blackcurrant Crush and Raspberry Lemonade, they are the latest product from drinks specialist Radnor Hills.


BETTER WITH AGE


The Real Basmati Rice Co is on a mission to change the way we buy rice. Sun dried and aged for over 12 months, their rice is sourced from small estates in the Punjab. Here the rice paddies are fed by the mighty glaciers of the Kashmir, resulting in a unique aroma and texture. Once harvested, farmers lay the rice reeds in the sun for two weeks to help it dry. The reeds are then beaten, by hand, to separate the grains from the shells and the husks are removed. Once this process is complete, the rice is bagged in jute sacks and placed in large rice stores away from the elements to age and mature. Founder, Shahid, turns the farmers he works with into friends and shares their passion of using traditional methods to make sure things are done the right way, creating the purest and tastiest Basmati rice with nothing nasty added.
