YEAR END REVIEW New look

Jesus Navarro S.A., selected CCL Decorative to produce a range of new sleeves for the relaunch of the Carmencita product range featuring an updated design. Carmencita is the brand name of the company Jesus Navarro S.A., which was established in 1920. The Carmencita name is derived from the founder’s eldest daughter, Carmen. The new brand identity redrew the traditional image of Carmencita. To effect these changes across the packaging for 56 different products, Jesus Navarro identified CCL Decorative Sleeves as a supplier that could

deliver high quality sleeve within very tight timescales in order to meet the launch deadline. The sleeves are UV Flexo printed in nine colours on 50 micron OPS and supplied to the customer pres-perforated on the reel. For more information call 01553 769319 or visit www.ccl-label.com/decorativesleeves.

The Pilot Vision

Having previously introduced components that provide in-the-blowmolder material distribution measurement, as well as automated blowmolder control, Agr developed the Pilot Vision system as the final component to complete this comprehensive package. The Pilot Vision system is designed to work in conjunction with today’s high speed reheat stretch blowmolding equipment to provide detection of random occurring defects during the production of PET bottles. According to Robert Cowden, Agr’s chief operating officer, “Our new Pilot Vision system . . . gives bottle makers the

AA Robotics launch

assurance that bottles with these types of defects will not enter the production stream”. For more information call +1 (724) 482 2163 or email ddineff@agrintl.com.
