• Enterprise software spending could total $296 billion. • Big data spending could reach $120 billion in 2013 and $232 billion through 2016.


• The 2013 Consumer Electronics Show introduced more than 20,000 products.


• The U.S. consumer electronics industry is valued at $206 billion.


• GM said it would hire about 1,000 “high-tech” employ- ees for a new Atlanta tech center.


• Nearly 64 percent of hiring managers and recruiters say tech hires will be up this year.
