aj. Gen. Marcia Anderson is a citizen- soldier. She is employed by the United States Courts and serves as clerk of the Bankruptcy Court in the Western District of Wisconsin. As a soldier, she has commanded at company level through general officer, serving in staff positions including at battalion, brigade, and division level. In 2005, she assumed command of the 6th Brigade, 95th Division (Institutional Training), where she was responsi- ble for the Drill Sergeant School, as well as the conduct of In- termediate Level Education and the Combined Arms Exercise courses for officer professional development for eight states.

In 2007, she was confirmed for promotion to brigadier gen- eral and assumed command of 85th Support, which supports training efforts of First Army. She also served as the deputy commander of the Human Resources Command.


A year later, Maj. Gen. Anderson was assigned as deputy chief, Army Reserve with duty at the Pentagon. Her military education includes the Army War College, where she was awarded a master’s in strategic studies. She holds a bache- lor’s degree in political science from Creighton University and a juris doctorate from Rutgers University School of Law.


rig. Gen. Margarett Barnes was com- missioned as an adjutant general corps officer in 1984 following three years of enlisted service. Prior to her current position, she served as commander of the Army Forces Command Augmenta- tion Unit. Her other assignments include commander, 348th Personnel Group; and commander, 324th Replacement Battalion.


During her tenure as the 324th commander, she deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. During this deployment her unit was awarded the Meritorious Unit Commendation. She also served as inspector general of the 3rd Personnel Command in Mississippi. She earned a bachelor’s degree from University of Southern Mississippi, and a master’s degree in public adminis- tration from the University of South Alabama with another in strategic studies, U.S. Army War College.

She also has 20 years’ experience in Department of Defense acquisition. Her assignments include: senior military assis- tant, Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition, Technology and Logistics); J8 Capabilities and Acquisition Division; and systems coordinator in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Research, Development and Acquisition. She is Level 3 Certified in contracting/program management and Level 2 Certified in systems engineering.


Maj. Gen. Nichols earned a master’s in sustainability manage- ment from University of Southern California in 1986, a mas- ter’s in strategic studies from the Naval War College in 1995, a doctorate in science from George Washington University in 1996, and a master’s in national resource strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces in 2002.

aj. Gen. Camille Nichols enlisted in the Army in 1975. She was commis- sioned as an engineer officer on gradu- ation from the U.S. Military Academy in 1981. She served as a company grade of- ficer in engineer units in the United States and Korea as well as troop assignments in the Training and Doctrine Command.
