Brig. Gen. Martha Meeker Vice Commander, U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center

eaching the rank of brigadier general in June of 2012, Martha Meeker is cur- rently vice commander of the U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center. The center provides operational control of the Mobility Opera- tions School, the Expeditionary Operations School, and administrative control for six wings and two groups within Air Mobility
command. General Meeker received her commission from Of- ficer Training School in 1987, two years after that she entered navigator training. In 1990 Meeker earned her wings and went on to serve as an instructor navigator on board Strategic Air Command’s Airborne Command and Control System, and NATO’s Airborne Warning and Control System.

s director of Air Force Services, Brig. Gen. Eden Murrie’s organization’s mission is to increase combat capability and improve productivity. They are able to reach these goals with programs promoting readiness, esprit de corps (Group morale) and the quality of life for Airmen and their families. General Murrie provides policy, technical direction and oversight for the $2 billion worldwide Services program, which includes physical fitness, peacetime and wartime troop feeding, Air Force mor- tuary affairs operations, Armed Forces entertainment, Air Force protocol, lodging, libraries, child development centers, youth centers and a wide spectrum of recreation activities.

rig. Gen. Jacqueline Van Ovost graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a bachelor of science in aeronautical engineer- ing. Gen. Van Ovost is currently vice com- mander of the Air Force Expeditionary Center, Operating Locaton A at Travis Air Force Base. The Air Force’s Center of Excellence is the

base for advanced expeditionary combat support training and education. The center also provides oversight for enroute and installation support, contingency response, and partner capacity building mission sets within the global mobility enterprise.
Maj. Gen. (Select) Margaret Poore Senior Military Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force

aj. Gen. (Select) Margaret Poore was commissioned through Air Force
Officer Training School and entered the Air Force in July 1987. She has served as execu- tive officer, protocol officer, squadron section commander and has commanded at the squadron, group, and wing levels. In her cur- rent position, she is a military assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force, who is responsible for the affairs of the Department of the Air Force, including training and equipping over 334,000 men and women on active duty, 176,000 mem- bers of the Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserve, 170,000 civilians, and their families. The Secretary also oversees the Air Force’s annual budget of approximately $119 billion.
Brig. Gen. Linda Urrutia-Varhal Senior Military Assistant to the Director of National Intelligence, the Pentagon
graduate of the Air Force Academy, Brig. Gen. Linda Urrutia-Varhall received her bachelor of science degree in civil engineer- ing and commissioned in 1984. Gen. Varhall is now the senior military assistant to the director of national intelligence. Throughout her career she has held command and staff positions in the wing, major command, head- quarters and joint environments. She was promoted to brigadier general on July 16, 2010.

Brig. Gen. (Select) Sarah Zabel Commander, 75th Air Base Wing, Hill Air Force Base, Utah

rig. Gen. (select) Sarah Zabel attended the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado. She graduated with a bachelors of science in computer science and earned her commission in 1987. In her most recent posi- tion, Zabel is the commander of the 75th Air Base Wing at the Hill Air Force Base in Utah. The wing provides support for the Ogden Air Logistics Complex. Before this posi- tion she served as the deputy director of Cyberspace Operations on the Air Staff. In addition to serving in many other positions, Zabel was also an Air Force Academy Instructor.
