WATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS

“MANY LEISURE OPERATORS ARE NOW INSTALLING UV SYSTEMS AS STANDARD TO ENSURE WATER DOES NOT POSE A RISK TO PUBLIC HEALTH.”

salt chlorination systems, it is recommended to check the compatibility of heating equipment with salt water prior to installation. The TRI system offers a standard salt chlorinator function, with add-on modules of automatic pH regulation and chlorine adaption to suit to the customer’s requirements. Each optional module operates intelligently: TRI pH and TRI Pro automatically measure and regulate the pH level; as a complement, TRI Pro automatically regulates chlorine production adapting to different conditions (water temperature, stormy weather, pool cover etc).

the chlorine level of your pool and eliminate problems associated with periods of very high or low chlorine levels. Fewer fluctuations in chlorine levels mean fewer fluctuations in pH levels. This adds up to more stable, balanced water.

The Electrochlor features precision chlorine production controls, a high performance titanium electrolytic cell, a 4 bar pressure rated salt cell housing and is easy to set and operate.

Through the process of electrolysis, a saline solution passes over an electrolytic cell, then the saline solution is separated into its basic components: chlorine and sodium. The chlorine is instantaneously transformed into hypochlorous acid; this is the chlorine form that kills algae and other harmful organisms in the water. The chlorine then turns back into salt and the system continues as long as the generator is functioning properly.

A salt-water chlorinated pool requires much less attention than a chlorine pool and provides a more comfortable swimming environment. Salt water feels better and is less irritating to the body than standard chlorinated water.

For owners of smaller pools who are looking to treat a pool in a more traditional way, Waterco also have the Waterking Automatic Tablet Feeder, a low cost form of automatic sanitisation which eliminates the need for regular addition of granular chlorine (or the equivalent) to a pool. The robust product represents the latest in chemical feed technology. By simply filling the container with chlorination tablets or bromine sticks,

SEE THE LIGHT WITH THE NEW BLUE LAGOON Two new models have been added to the domestic Blue Lagoon UV-C treatment range – the Pro and the Pro Buster from Certikin. The Blue Lagoon Pro has the same features as the original system with the addition of a higher 5 bar pressure rating. Both the 75W and 130W models have a flow sensor and a solid 316L stainless steel housing. The Pro Buster, with its three powerful

130 Watt Amalgam UV-C lamps, treats large domestic or light commercial applications up to 450m3

/ 99,000 gallons. It has a built-in electronic pre-selector to ensure a smooth power supply and up to 35% more UV-C yield as a result of reflection. It comes with a flow switch to disconnect when no flow is detected and a digital countdown timer indicates when the lamp needs replacing. Featuring a 316L earthed solid stainless steel housing and a two year guarantee (with respect to manufacturing faults) it is easily installed and maintained. The advantages of UV-C products are well understood i.e. they disinfect water efficiently and safely; combined chlorine is broken
