Help Adam To Make Children’s Dreams Come True

Golden Coast Sales Manager Adam Clark will certainly be in need of the company’s products on the evening of 21 April. After 26 gruelling miles running in the London Marathon, what could be more welcome than a spa, hot tub or sauna?

Adam is taking on the challenge to raise funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, an organisation which aims to grant magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions.

“Being a parent, I know how much I would do for my children to ensure their wellbeing and happiness,” he

says. “I can only imagine what it must feel like to watch your child battle for their life or be terminally ill. Please help me by giving what you can to support the children, who show more strength than we can ever dream of, to help Make-A-Wish grant wishes for them and make their time here more enjoyable.” To sponsor Adam, visit https://www.justgiving.com/Adam-Clark3 and make your donation – large or small – online. Golden Coast’s Managing Director Jamie Adams adds: “We appointed Adam as Sales Manager in summer 2012 and he has made an immediate impression on the company. Talented, experienced and hardworking, he puts the customers at the heart of everything he does. We very much admire him for taking on the challenge of the marathon, too, and we are keen to support him in it.”

Watkins President Celebrates 30 Year Anniversary

Steven M. Hammock, President of Watkins Manufacturing Corporation has celebrated his 30 year anniversary with the company. Hammock is recognised as an influential executive who has led Watkins to sustained success and who has always put people before profits.

Employees, dealers and over a million

Watkins’ customers have all benefited from his leadership and what he calls “the Watkins Way” – a philosophy that Hammock

summarises as, “Be honest. Bring it every day. Get better.”

The anniversary was commemorated

at a Watkins event held at the recent International Pool Spa and Patio Exposition in New Orleans.

Steve Hammock began his career with the company in 1982 as Promotions Manager and held several other positions before being named General Manager in 1987. At the time, Watkins founder (then

president) Jon Watkins said of his new General Manager: “Steve has been a tremendous resource for Watkins Manufacturing... his knowledge and expertise should lead us to even greater success.” Those words proved to be prophetic. In the following years Watkins continued its rise under Hammock’s leadership, as it does to this day. Since the late eighties Watkins has been recognised as the industry leader with the highest volume of hot tub sales world-wide.

Certikin Rewards Long Service

Certikin is justifiably proud of the fact that over 10% of its workforce have clocked up more than 25 years’ service and two of the latest names to join these hallowed ranks are Bruce Coppuck and Jane Berry. Twenty five years ago Executive Sales Manager, Bruce Coppuck joined Peter Geekie Pools (later to merge with Certikin) as a Saturday job student working in the warehouse. Some three months later he was full- time, working in the warehouse then in dispatch. A variety of different positions followed, in which Bruce gathered a good cross-section of knowledge and experience across the divisions, culminating in his most recent promotion to Executive Sales Manager in 2011. Bruce says: “It’s great to be recognised for my 25 years contribution to Certikin. Unsurprisingly, I have enjoyed every minute. The team at Certikin are amazingly enthusiastic and have been so friendly. It’s entirely possible I could make another 25 years!”

Twenty-five years ago Customer Service Manager, Jane Berry (née Gibson) started working for the PG Spa and Sauna. She then moved into the accounts department, where she was later to become Accounts Office Manager. Jane was appointed Customer Services Manager in 1999 to head up a new customer services department. Certikin’s continued expansion saw the creation of the Sales Order Processing department which also came under Jane’s wing. Three years ago her duties expanded again to include credit control. Jane says: “I can honestly say that the 25 years have just flown past. As the saying goes: ‘time flies when you are having fun’ and this has certainly been true of my time at Certikin. It’s a happy place to work and you couldn’t find a more friendly working environment.”
