ollet Pool Group UK is an operating division of Kennet Water Components Limited. Kennet Water Components Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Pollet Group, which is a family owned business, based in Belgium which was founded in 1969. The group has over 40 companies from Ireland across to Turkey and down to Angola. Two of the Group’s key business areas are
Water Treatment and Swimming Pools, where they operate distribution based businesses that offer high levels of customer service and technical back up. They are stock holding distributors and expect to ship a very high percentage of orders, from stock, within 24 hours of order receipt. Their aim, wherever possible is to distribute high quality products, preferably of market leading brands and forge strong relationships with their suppliers and customers. When PPG UK was formed in 2004, Managing Director Peter Evans realised the value of SPATA membership having previously been involved in the UK pool industry for many years. PPG were quick to embrace their membership, attending regional meetings and helping their customers with advice that met SPATA standards.
In addition to their membership of SPATA, PPG are also strong supporters of the SPATEX trade show. The company attended their first SPATEX in 2004 and 2013 will be their 10th consecutive year as an exhibitor at the annual industry event. Carl Porter, who joined PPG last year as the Divisional Manager said: “SPATEX is very important for us because it gives us the opportunity to showcase our products to customers and contribute to the success of the show where profits are used for the benefit of the industry.” Carl is a Past President of the BSPF and previous SPATA committee member so the enthusiasm for the organisation continues within PPG. “Recent seminars, regional meetings and networking opportunities have proved invaluable for PPG as we move forward,” said Carl who urges more people to attend future events. He added: “There’s always something to learn and inspiration to be taken from them.”
PPG believe the industry needs to get ahead of current challenges in the market. “We should utilise existing customers more – making them aware of new technologies and

products and the opportunities for upgrades is essential,” added Carl.
The company are also keen to solve the problems and challenges that their customers may have. They achieve this through a wealth of experience, superb customer service and applying the personal touch. Promoting key products and offering training are also fundamental parts of the
group’s ethos in the UK. The exclusive Heat Perfector heat pump range is just one of a number of quality products that PPG is proud to supply and the next training days will be on 18 and 19 February. The company say it should be noted that all warranty work is undertaken through PPG in the UK and the same applies to their other mechanical products within the catalogue portfolio. With the recent appointment as distributor for the Bayrol brand in the UK, PPG will be undertaking ongoing training for the products and holding a series of seminars which will be announced for the 2013 season. Although officially signed at Piscine in Lyon back in November, February’s SPATEX exhibition in Brighton will provide the platform for the group to announce their partnership to the UK industry and the whole team will be on hand to discuss the future opportunities. During the SPATEX weekend, PPG will also be lending their support to the annual SPATA Awards by sponsoring two award categories and attending in force!
