Nine young boys and girls from Dunblane Youth Burns Club competed in the Perth Burns schools festival on Sunday 18th November and won the praise of the adjudicators as they took home four cups. Calum Mitchel age 12 won the prize for under 15s with A Man`s a Man; Scott Cocker won the over 15s with Willie Wassle; Kirsty Barr won the over 15s solo unaccompanied song with O Whistle and I`ll Come Tae ye My Lad and Olivia Donnet won the cup for the best performance of the day with Last May a Braw Wooer. Competing against fellow Dunblane youth, Holly Jarvis, Ellen Pennie, Amy Gunn and Matthew McKinney did not win but their contribution was outstanding. Rehearsing helped us all.... --well done.

Our annual Burns Supper takes place on Friday 1st Feb in the Dunblane Centre. Lord George Robertson will give The Immortal Memory and all entertainment thereafter will be by the young people. This year we have 20 contributors to what will be a most successful evening, as usual! Tickets from Nancy £10 Adult £6 Junior Telephone 821300 Tickets can be ordered through the young entertainers.
