A Big Green Adventure By P5, Dunblane Primary School
On Tuesday 4th December 2012 the Primary 5’s did a magical performance called A Big Green Adventure. It was in Dunblane Primary School’s Assembly Hall. P5 chose this show because our topic was about being green and this was all about how the planet gets polluted by the things we humans do.
We practised a lot every week learning lines and songs and every day we learned more information about how to be green. Whilst doing it we had lots of fun.
The story is about two elders called Snowy and Chip who embark on a mission to save the forest. Snowy and Chip go on an adventure to learn the ways of humans, but all they see is pollution at a landfi ll site and the aff ects of global warming at just how far our produce has to travel to our supermarkets. Then they go to a car showroom and meet two desperate car salesmen trying to sell them a gas- guzzler car but Professor Plant Pot comes in to give them planet-saving ideas. Happily, it all ends with the forest being saved and the audience being asked to “Make a change today”.
Here are some facts from the show: Did you know that one tree provides enough oxygen for two people for the rest of their lives? Trees can become unstable and fall down because the roots are exposed after fl ooding.
