Wildlife Heritage Foundation, Big Cat Sanctuary is a breeding centre of excellence, home to over 50 of the World’s rarest big cats. European breeding programs are our main focus, this ensures against worldwide extinction of endangered species. We are also committed to supporting, raising awareness and funding of insitu conservation overseas and the Amur leopard release program.

For those who like to get behind the scenes and get stuck in! Spend the day helping our keepers prepare meals, clean enclosures, perhaps even design an enrichment or toy for the cats, an up close and personal experience with the opportunity to hand feed one of our big cats too!

Enjoy a tour of our beautiful sanctuary during which you will see and learn about a diverse cross section of the cat family. From the world’s largest Armur tiger, the rarest Amur leopard to the smallest the Rusty Spotted cat! Then hand feed a big cat: lion, tiger, jaguar, snow leopard, cheetah... who would you like to meet up close?

Choose from one of our five workshops. You will be tutored on how to take amazing pictures of our beautiful cats, we are proud to be the UK’s first centre of excellence for photographing both big and small cats. With over 50 cats on site we are the largest UK collection.
Photographers of all levels and ages are welcome. Our onsite professional photographer will assist you if required to gain the best from your camera, learn how to use it whilst enjoying a relaxed day with our cats who will be tempted into position with treats. Whether you are just starting out or are a pro you will love these workshops. They are addictive!!
