February 9 & 17 Welcome to the Year of the Snake, Chatham High Street


The Chinese New Year preview takes place on February 9 in the High Street and in Pentagon Court, with the New Year Parade on February 17. Come along to this free event and enjoy the entertainment.


February 14 Valentine Day Murder Mystery Powell-Cotton Museum, Quex Park, Birchington


Murder Mystery 1920s style,with the Perfectly Dreadful Murder Company. An evening of fun and investigation, with fancy dress encouraged. Tickets £20, includes cheeseboard supper and glass of wine. To book call 01843 842168.


February 16 - 24 Secrets and Spies, Dover Castle


This is for all super sleuths, secret agents and investigators who would like to sharpen their detective skills with hands-on spy training. Have fun with weird wigs and mad moustaches and find out how real double agents and spies hide secret information. An additional £1 will be charged on standard admission for this event.


February 16 - March 24 Quilts, Comfort from Kindness, Maidstone Museum


A display of quilts donated by the Canadian Red Cross to the bombed out families of Britain in World War 2. A story of selfless endeavour to provide warmth and comfort to thousands by the women of Canada.


February 16, 17, 23, 24 Fun Day Out with Thomas Kent & East Sussex Railway, Tenterden


Everyone’s favourite steam engine Thomas the Tank Engine will be making exclusive appearances at Tenterden Station with some of his friends, including Sir Topham Hatt and The Fat Controller. Tickets include a 70- minute train ride to Northiam


Station, as well as a daily fun packed programme of children’s events and activities.


February 17 The Tenterden 5-mile road running race


Starting at Wittersham Village Hall, at 10.30am, the five-mile road run along the quiet lanes around the pretty village is suitable for runners of all standards. All race profits go to Wittersham Village Hall. Medals plus free piping hot homemade soup to all finishers. There is alsoa children's race. To register: www.nice-work.org.uk


Integrated Services Programme (ISP) is an independent, not- for-profit childcare organisation providing foster care to childrenwith awide range of emotional and behavioural needs. We have Centres in Kent, London, Bucks, Milton Keynes and Sussex. Ofsted assessed all ISP Centres as “Outstanding”.


ISP looks after children from many different ethnic and cultural backgrounds including white UK, African, African-Caribbean, Asian and dual heritage.We are keen to recruit carers fromsimilar cultural backgrounds. In addition, we are currently experiencing a high demand to look after childrenwith various disabilities, childrenwho are involved in the criminal justice system and ‘parent & child’ placed together.


IF YOU HAVE: • life experience • the ability to work with children or young people and parents • the ability to rise to the challenge of fostering • patience, determination and a sense of humour • no children under the age of 8 • a spare bedroom • a career change in mind
